“Brilliant adventure, great instructors and talks very inspiring. Thumbs up and 5 stars!!!”.
“A big thank you to all at Abernethy for looking after my daughter and ensuring that she had a really wonderful time. We have just watched the DVD of the week’s activities, and I have to say, it really is impressive!” Louise (mum)
Based at Abernethy Nethybridge, our summer holiday camp for 10-13 year olds is a highlight of the year for our guests and for our team. The week is themed and the whole camp is a full-on, awesome mix of adventure activities, games and fun. There is some great Bible teaching and a chance to ask questions and have discussions in small groups at the end of the evening. You will be able to have a swim in our pool each day and there are some great games facilities for the small amount of free time that you will have. One day we will travel to the famous Abernethy Unlimited beach party on the Moray coast.
So, look forward to making some great new friends and having an absolute blast this summer!
Our speaker this year is Neil Glover. Dad to Sam, Zoe and Susie, he used to be an Instructor at Abernethy. He loves sharing stories of Jesus and the Christian faith in the outdoors, telling stories and sharing the excitement of all that being a Christian means. His kids, Sam and Zoe are old enough to go Adventure Unlimited… and so Susie is not happy about this! He is married to Anna and is a minister at Flemington-Hallside Parish Church in Glasgow.
During instructed sessions, our instructors will be in charge.
In non-instructed time, our summer activity group leaders will be supervising you and organising activities. From making sure you make a packed lunch and respect the centre and its facilities to joining in with the outdoor activities and challenges and leading the evening small groups, our summer team will generally be looking out for you during your time away from home.
Our speaker this year is Neil Glover. He is the minister of Flemington-Hallside Parish Church in Cambuslang in Glasgow, and is also the Convener of the Church of Scotland Ministries Council. He is married to Anna, and their children are Sam, Zoe and Susie. He was an Instructor at Nethybridge back in the day, and has spoken at Adventure Unlimited lots of times.
