A Week of Prayer

Our Week of Prayer will run from 7th – 13th May.  During this week, our staff team and Board of Directors are setting aside some dedicated time to pray for Abernethy and our ongoing ministry.  We would be delighted if you would join us!  Whether you have 10 minutes on the train, half an hour at lunch or a bit longer at some point in your day, your prayers will make a valuable difference.

“Commit your work to the LORD, and your plans will succeed." Proverbs 16 v 3.

"Make your ways known to me, LORD; teach me your paths.  Lead me in your truth
– teach it to me – because you are the God who saves me.  I put my hope in you all day long."
Psalm 25 v 4 - 5.

How does it work?

Sign up below to receive short emails from us each morning throughout our Week of Prayer.  The emails will include:

- A short bible passage to help focus our hearts on God

- A theme for the day with prayer points to guide you

- Three questions to help us reflect on what God might say through His word and our time with Him

Sunday Gathering

On the afternoon of Sunday 13th May, each centre will host a time of prayer and will enjoy some food together.  Our regional prayer group in Glasgow will also be hosting a special gathering.  We want to invite you to join us for this time of prayer and worship.  If you can make it along to any of these gatherings, then we would love to see you there!

“I am convinced, however, that our constant activity is fruitless without first making that humble act of kneeling to pray. I am convinced that prayer is not only our greatest privilege, but also our greatest source of power.”
― Pete Greig, Punk Monk: New Monasticism and the Ancient Art of Breathing
