Key Roles
  • To assist in carrying out planned maintenance tasks as is required on buildings and essential services.  This may include painting and decorating, general repairs, development of the facilities, waste and pest control, cleaning vehicles and other jobs. 
  • To assist with unplanned maintenance tasks as and when they ariseOccasionally this may be outside of “normal” working hours. 
  • To assist in servicing the grounds of the estate as they require it, ensuring that boundaries are maintained, lawns are cut and all areas are kept tidy and in good repair. 
  • To ensure that the Maintenance Shed, vehicles and buildings are kept tidy and that equipment is stored safely and correctly, responsibly caring for tools issued for personal or general use. 
  • To ensure the safe, correct and appropriate use of tools and equipment, including power tools and vehicles.   
Essential Requirements
  • Some experience in one or more of the following: grounds maintenance, plumbing, painting & decorating, DIY 
  • Full UK driving licence 
  • It is a genuine occupational requirement that the holder of this post is a practising Christian whose lifestyle is consistent with the values and doctrine of the Christian faith 
  • As part of our commitment to safeguarding, the successful applicant will be required to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Scheme and the appointment will be subject to a satisfactory PVG Scheme Disclosure

Desirable
  • An understanding of the basic principles of plumbing, painting & decorating 
  • D1 qualification on Driving Licence 
  • Welding qualification 
  • Experience of vehicle mechanics 
  • Experience working in a trade
