What better way to spend a mid-winter weekend than a cosy retreat at Kilmalieu, engaging in a variety of crafting activities, enjoying warm fellowship and great food? During the weekend we shall be reflecting on the book of Esther and reminding ourselves of God’s amazing grace and providence.
The retreat will be lead by Lynne Finnie and Ali Crompton, faithful friends of Kilmalieu who led another crafting retreat last year. We are delighted to welcome them back. All the materials for the different crafting activities will be provided and no special skills are needed. You will be invited to join the daily rhythm of morning and evening prayers with the Kilmalieu team and there will be space in the programme to walk, rest, pray and reflect as needed.
Kilmalieu occupies a stunning position on the shore of Loch Linnhe. It is a renovated eighteenth-century hunting lodge with a mixture of comfortable single, twin and family bedrooms. Food is home-made and consistently praised for its quality. Guests have access to a small library, art room, lounge, chapel and gym – and are free to explore the estate, with its glorious mix of mountains, coastline and woodland.
