New Adventure at Kilmalieu

ABERNETHY TRUST – KILMALIEU (formerly ARDGOUR)

Following the Covid-19 Pandemic, our facility at Ardgour has remained dormant. As many will know, for many years it was the base for Abernethy Trust’s School of Adventure Leadership.

However, after much prayer and reflection we are delighted to announce that it will be reopening in the Autumn but with a different name and mission that aligns with the core values of the Abernethy Trust.

The actual location of what was previously called Ardgour is on the Kilmalieu estate that has early connections to Christianity in Scotland, and so we are changing the name to Kilmalieu to more accurately reflect its position.

Furthermore, we are excited that Steve and Liz Aisthorpe will be leading a small team there to develop Kilmalieu as a place of prayer, hospitality, adventure, and nature conservation and restoration. Our hope is that people will come to Kilmalieu for a variety of retreats and to participate in, and witness to, what is happening in the natural environment.

Steve and Liz bring a wealth of experience in developing ministries, bringing about change, and have a great passion for creating space for prayer and reflection, as well as adventure.

Please pray for them as this ministry develops.
